Welcome to Lavatrax the home of Mountain Bike Holidays on the sunshine island of Tenerife. Here you will find all the information you need to plan and make the most of your holiday here, whether that is a mountain bike specific holiday or just cramming a days biking into the family holiday.

Tenerife is the largest of the seven Canary Islands which are located just off the coast of Africa and a few degrees north of the Tropic of Cancer. This location pretty much guarantees year round sunshine to our visitors, giving you a taste of the dry dusty summer trails all year round.

Here at Lavatrax we stick to what we know best, the riding, so we don't manage or operate any holiday accommodation ourselves. However, we have formed links with some of the best management companies on the island to be able to offer you very competetive rates on private holiday apartments to rent, and can also make arrangements on your behalf with local hotels to try and ensure that you get the best deal possible.

So what type of trails do we have in Tenerife?

Well, there really is something for everyone, from non technical scenic tours on dirt roads and jeep tracks, to more challenging goat tracks and loose gravel descents which promise to give you a good case of lava rash if you get things wrong! And believe it or not, due to the fact that we live on the side of a volcano, there are some gut wrenching climbs to be found if some real hard training is what you are after.
